This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Build and nurture customer relationships while enhancing and expanding existing business revenues.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within designated territories/accounts.
• Oversee RFQ, quoting, proposal submissions, contracting, and customer request processes.
• Deliver proposals and successfully close new business deals.
• Formulate and implement account strategies aimed at driving revenue growth and increasing market share.
• Develop and sustain relationships with key customer decision-makers and influencers.
• Track customer opportunities, account modifications, prospects, and the competitive landscape.
• Work in collaboration with stakeholders from Commercial, Operations, Quality, Finance, Legal, planning, and customer service.
• Keep up-to-date with technical expertise relevant to the company and industry.
• Manage expenses to stay within budget constraints.
• Create reports and conduct weekly, monthly, and annual account reviews or strategic plans.
• Present and negotiate price adjustments when necessary.
• Gather Voice of Customer feedback to relay to internal stakeholders.
• Maintain CRM records and oversee account pipeline value, status, and health.
• Develop and maintain a regular communication schedule with customers.
• Prepare Scorecards, Drumbeat, and Recovery materials.
• Serve as the primary internal and external contact for pricing-related issues and communications.
• Manage customer surveys, RFIs, NDAs, EHS&S questionnaires, and other ad hoc requests.
• Collect, analyze, trend, and disseminate customer forecasts.
• Lead and manage CIP communications and trackers.
• Evaluate and oversee the rebate process as applicable.
• Bachelor’s Degree is required; a degree in a related discipline or engineering is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of business-to-business sales experience, specifically in medical device contract manufacturing.
• Experience in the Medical Device Industry is mandatory.
• A strong background in plastic injection molding, metals, and assemblies is preferred.
• Completion of formal sales training programs is advantageous.
• A proven record of successful performance is essential.
• Demonstrated skills in selling and account management.
• Capability to translate strategy into tactical execution and inspire effective execution.
• Ability to engage with all levels and functions of major OEM medical device customers.
• Proficient in analyzing information and communicating effectively with customers and various organizational levels.
• Skilled in collaborating with and influencing peers and management.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Highly motivated, disciplined, and proactive.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
• Strong relationship-building capabilities.
• Proficient writing skills and familiarity with Outlook and Word.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentation creation.
• Highly responsive and resilient in challenging situations.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to organize tasks and adapt to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in interpreting design drawings and specifications is preferred.
• Capability to analyze, comprehend, and convey technical information effectively.
• Ability to assess the financial implications of deals and opportunities.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• In-depth understanding of the medical device and/or contract manufacturing sectors.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the assigned account/territory, potentially ranging from 25% to 75% depending on business requirements.
