This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Articulate University policies, Financial Aid guidelines, and Title IV regulations to students
• Deliver personalized, student-focused academic and financial assistance
• Oversee a student caseload utilizing proactive communication and sound judgment
• Manage student Accounts Receivable, encompassing document collection, student payments, and financial aid
• Supervise and facilitate the collection and submission of vouchers for processing
• Direct students to relevant departments and campus resources
• Navigate various systems and reports to ensure seamless student support
• Interact with students via phone, email, video, and chat
• Address escalated student issues and devise effective solutions
• Implement outreach and communication strategies to enhance engagement and promote student success
• Track academic progress, identify at-risk groups, and support successful program completion
• Utilize coaching techniques to inspire students towards graduation
• Offer suggestions and resources to enhance student satisfaction, persistence, and achievement
• Collaborate with various departments to foster a positive student experience
• Share University updates, assist with departmental initiatives, and participate in special projects
• Maintain consistent and reliable attendance
• Execute additional duties as assigned
• A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in recruiting, advising, student services, retention, academic counseling, marketing, educational services, or customer service
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred
• Experience in a fast-paced, student- or customer-centric environment is preferred
• Background in academic advising and course enrollment in a college or university context is preferred
• Experience supporting online students is preferred
• Familiarity with Financial Aid or Title IX regulations is preferred
• Experience in interpreting and ensuring compliance with federal regulations and guidelines is preferred
• Background in higher education and technology-driven settings is preferred
• Strong understanding of academic and business practices within an online learning environment
• Knowledge of University policies and procedures
• Strong customer service orientation
• Exceptional communication and active listening abilities
• Capability to de-escalate and resolve student concerns
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Creative and logical problem-solving skills
• Proficient in using word processing tools, databases, internet navigation, SMS, live chat, and email systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint
• Flexibility, dependability, and capacity to work effectively in a team setting
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Must be eligible for access to the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS)
