3D Event Designer, CAD Draftsperson

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Create intricate 3D models and visualizations for event concepts, layouts, installations, staging, and bespoke elements.

• Generate high-quality, photorealistic renders featuring realistic materials, textures, lighting, branding, and environmental components.

• Develop CAD drawings that encompass event layouts, site plans, construction drawings, fabrication details, elevations, and production documentation.

• Prepare technical drawings inclusive of dimensions, annotations, specifications, and Bills of Materials as needed.

• Convert creative concepts and site information into practical designs that are ready for production.

• Partner with event planners, production teams, vendors, and stakeholders to refine and enhance designs.

• Produce DWG, STEP, and other technical files for vendors and fabrication teams.

• Assist in custom fabrication by ensuring that drawings are appropriate for manufacturing or CNC processes.

• Conduct clash detection and review layouts to identify spatial or installation conflicts.

• Take into account spatial planning, crowd movement, AV integration, accessibility, safety, and installation requirements.

• Optimize 3D models for presentations, virtual walkthroughs, and file performance.

• Keep design files, revisions, and project documentation organized.

• Handle multiple design projects while adhering to production schedules and deadlines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in 3D design, CAD drafting, event visualization, exhibition design, experiential design, staging, or a related field.

• A robust portfolio showcasing both 3D visualization/rendering and technical drafting skills.

• Proficiency in one or more 3D modeling/design software such as SketchUp, Vectorworks, Autodesk products, Rhino, Maya, or Cinema 4D.

• Strong CAD drafting skills utilizing AutoCAD, Fusion 360, Vectorworks, or similar applications.

• Familiarity with rendering tools such as Chaos V-Ray, Thea Render, Unreal Engine, or comparable software.

• Capability to produce detailed technical drawings suitable for event production and fabrication.

• Understanding of materials, lighting, textures, scales, dimensions, and spatial design principles.

• Knowledge of event production considerations, including layouts, staging, AV integration, crowd flow, and custom structures.

• Experience with BIM/clash detection tools like Navisworks is a plus.

• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to identify practical design or production challenges.

• Excellent time management skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects and shifting deadlines.

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

• Experience in live events and event production, exhibitions and trade shows, experiential or activation design, stage or set design, custom fabrication, entertainment production, retail or branded installations, or architectural visualization with significant technical drafting experience is highly valued.

• Portfolio demonstrating relevant 3D models, renders, event layouts, and/or technical drawings.
