This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Lead and nurture a high-achieving team that supports GM’s dealer network.
• Drive revenue from parts, customer-pay repair orders, improve customer retention, optimize tools and equipment use, enhance technician training, and oversee warranty administration.
• Identify quality issues in products and improve customer satisfaction for GM’s premium brand.
• Guide, mentor, and develop Sales and Service Professionals to implement strategic initiatives and meet performance targets.
• Establish team standards that promote productivity, inclusivity, and respect for individuality and diversity.
• Cultivate a customer-focused culture that emphasizes empowerment, accountability, results, ongoing improvement, and effective change management.
• Take ownership of Zone revenue, customer retention, and the overall customer experience.
• Remain informed about developments in GM and the automotive industry, adapting processes, systems, and tools accordingly.
• Evaluate dealer marketing and merchandising strategies, providing recommendations to enhance service-lane traffic and profitability.
• Supervise the execution of business plans and implement strategies to tackle challenges while encouraging innovation.
• Monitor and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) such as SRT, NPS, customer retention, STS compliance, EV training and compliance, Workplace of Choice, engagement, Direct Leaders Index, and participation.
• Utilize knowledge of service and parts operations, automotive parts and service systems, dealer operating reports, fixed-operations analysis tools, profit-department structures, and consultative selling techniques.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience is required.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in Sales, Service, or Operations with a proven history of driving revenue growth.
• Preferred: At least 3 years of experience in leading, coaching, and developing a team.
• Strong understanding of the automotive industry and business acumen, including service operations, warranty processes, and customer experience management.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including capabilities in data analysis, reporting, and visualization tools.
• Must currently live within the assigned territory or agree to relocate to Sacramento, CA, or an approved surrounding area within 60 days of the start date.
• Must not require GM immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
• Capability to legally operate a motor vehicle and successfully complete a Motor Vehicle Report review.
