This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +7 more states.
• Acquire knowledge and execute the process of installing medical imaging equipment.
• Build strong relationships with clients and show promptness in addressing and resolving customer concerns.
• Engage in work within at least one imaging modality, with the potential to gain qualifications in multiple modalities.
• Stay updated on technical innovations and prevailing industry trends.
• Pursue both formal and informal training opportunities.
• Implement best practices and manage personal scheduling effectively.
• Provide assistance to colleagues when necessary.
• Fulfill administrative responsibilities within Philips and regulatory timelines, including timesheets, service work orders, expense reports, Field Change Orders, preventive maintenance, installation documents, and site and service documentation.
• Deliver exceptional installation and customer service.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a diagnostic imaging service environment (field or hospital-based) or over 3 years in the electromechanical industries.
• Experience and training in image-guided therapy devices is preferred.
• Proficiency in understanding and applying electronic, mechanical, and networking principles for the installation, diagnosis, and repair of equipment.
• Familiarity with essential tools and testing equipment.
• An associate degree in electronics or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and the experience listed above.
• A BSEE/BSEET/BSME/BSMET degree is preferred.
• Capability to meet the minimum physical, cognitive, and environmental requirements for the Field Service role.
• Ability to work in an office/home office setting, remotely, and within a hospital/healthcare environment.
• Willingness to travel up to 100% by car, air, train, or bus, including weekend stays and occasional international trips.
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including overtime, weekends, and on-call rotations.
• Competence to safely handle radiation sources and/or radioactive materials and to utilize required personal protective equipment.
• US work authorization is mandatory; candidates requiring sponsorship currently or in the future will not be considered.
• Must live in or within commuting distance of AL, AR, FL, GA, LA, MS, NC, SC, TN, or TX.
