This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Support the training of specialized skilled and/or semi-skilled courses within TEEX Workforce Development Programs.
• Facilitate and conduct training courses for personnel in water and wastewater utilities.
• Enhance the technical competence and skills of trainees.
• Organize classrooms and course materials.
• Conduct classes and demonstrate utilizing teaching aids.
• Complete necessary administrative documentation.
• Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge and skills.
• Report directly to the ITSI Workforce Development Program Coordinator.
• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A minimum of three years of experience in the operation, maintenance, design, construction, or regulation of water utility systems.
• Candidates must reside in Aransas, Bee, Brooks, Cameron, Duval, Hidalgo, Jim Wells, Kenedy, Kleberg, Live Oak, Nueces, Refugio, San Patricio, Starr, or Willacy County.
• Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license or the ability to acquire one within 30 days of starting employment.
• Texas Class "B" Water License is required.
• Texas Class "B" Wastewater License or Wastewater Collection II or III is required.
• One year of experience in adult training and one of the following: 60 hours of classroom instructional experience; approved Instructor training in Methods of Teaching; approved Instructor training in Effective Instructional Techniques and Instructional Design and Evaluation; or approved Instructor training in Organizational and Use of Training Materials.
• Equivalency: five years of relevant experience with an Associate's Degree in an applicable field, or seven years of relevant experience with a High School Diploma/GED.
• Applicants will undergo a criminal history investigation and verification of credentials and other required information.
