Working Student, Script Development – DevOps Environment

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Maintain and improve a variety of Python scripts.

• Create modules for data collection from diverse sources, data processing, and storage in SQL databases.

• Develop scripts and modules for data analysis and visualization purposes.

• Validate scripts through the implementation of automated testing.

• Design and utilize CI/CD pipelines to streamline development activities, including test execution, Docker image creation, and documentation generation.

• Automate processes and routine system checks using CI/CD pipelines.

• Engage in the source code review process.

• Utilize Python package management tools such as Poetry, pip, and virtual environments.

• Contribute to development projects at Volkswagen Infotainment GmbH as a member of an international Quality Assurance support team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently pursuing studies in a technical discipline or a similar degree program.

• Strong programming proficiency in Python.

• Familiarity with Git version control.

• Basic understanding of Business Intelligence tools, such as Power BI and EazyBI, for data visualization tasks.

• Excellent communication and collaborative skills.

• Exceptional self-organization abilities and a proactive mindset.

• Proficient in both written and spoken German and English.

• Basic knowledge of SQL databases is a plus.

• Experience with Docker, REST APIs, and CI/CD tools, such as GitHub Actions, is a plus.

• Familiarity with software testing frameworks like Pytest or Unittest is advantageous.

• Understanding of software design principles, including Clean Code and Modular Design, is beneficial.
