Site Reliability Engineer – FEDRAMP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +25 more states.

📋 Description

• Evaluate features within the Splunk Cloud offering.

• Create and revise documentation for configuration and infrastructure modifications.

• Implement configuration and infrastructure changes in customer cloud environments.

• Oversee customer-related incidents while diagnosing issues on the Splunk Cloud platform.

• Design and enhance automation tools.

• Contribute to the advancement of Splunk’s large-scale cloud offering through operational, maintenance, and documentation tasks.

• Collaborate across various teams within the FedRAMP Cloud Ops team.

⛳️ Requirements

• U.S. Person required: U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee.

• Must be eligible to perform work on U.S. soil where mandated by the U.S. government.

• Availability to work 4x10 shifts, Wednesday to Saturday, from midnight to 10 am EST.

• Must be prepared to work nights, weekends, and be on-call during the shift.

• At least 3 years of experience with Linux.

• A minimum of 2 years of scripting experience in Python, Golang, or Bash.

• More than 3 years of experience in distributed systems.

• At least 1 year of involvement in incident management.

• Willingness and ability to obtain SplunkCloud Architect Certification and either Splunk Administration or Splunk Power User certificate within the first 2 years of employment.

• Familiarity with Puppet.

• Experience with Jenkins.

• Knowledge of AWS or GCP.

• Proficient in scripting with PowerShell.

• Experience with Microsoft Azure is advantageous.

• AWS Solutions Architect certificate and/or relevant experience.
