Working Student, Finance & Accounting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Maintain and update the continuous liquidity forecast.

• Analyze actual figures against the forecast and report any discrepancies promptly.

• Capture vouchers, post entries, and prepare handover documentation for the tax advisor.

• Oversee open items, verify incoming payments, and manage a systematic dunning process.

• Handle monthly retainer and project billing for clients in the DACH region and the USA.

• Reconcile bank accounts, Stripe accounts, and credit card statements.

• Prepare cost and contribution margin analyses for each team.

• Provide support for both monthly and annual closing activities.

• Conduct ad-hoc analyses for management as required.

• Document your processes and suggest automation for manual tasks.

• Collaborate directly with management on the financial guidance of the expanding company.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Economics, Business Informatics, or a related discipline, preferably focusing on Finance, Controlling, or Accounting — from the 3rd semester onwards.

• Proficient in Google Sheets, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and a fundamental understanding of clean data structures.

• Demonstrated precision and dependability when handling numerical data and confidential information.

• Proficient in German at a business level.

• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Availability for at least 15 hours per week.

• Commitment to a long-term collaboration of at least 12 months.

• Previous practical experience in accounting, tax consulting, or controlling is advantageous.

• Familiarity with DATEV, Lexware/Lexoffice, or similar software is a plus.

• An interest in e-commerce and digital business models is beneficial.

• Willingness and interest in automating processes using Sheets formulas, Zapier/Make, or simple scripts is a plus.
