SAP Functional Consultant – Finance, Logistics (FI/CO/FM/SD)

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Configure and deploy SAP S/4HANA functionalities across the FI, CO, FM, and SD modules.

• Convert business needs into functional designs, system configurations, and technical specifications.

• Assist in end-to-end processes encompassing General Ledger, AP/AR, Asset Accounting, Cost Centers, Internal Orders, Budget Control, Sales Order Processing, Billing, and Pricing.

• Ensure seamless integration among finance, supply chain, transportation, and logistics business processes.

• Collaborate with government stakeholders to enhance financial controls, reporting, and logistics operations.

• Conduct Fit-to-Standard workshops, business process reengineering sessions, and solution demonstrations.

• Create Functional Design Documents, configuration guides, procedures, and training materials.

• Develop functional specifications for RICEFW custom developments.

• Work together with ABAP developers throughout development, testing, and deployment phases.

• Support master data governance for financial, customer, and organizational data.

• Lead unit, integration, and user acceptance testing initiatives.

• Provide Tier II/III production support and resolve complex issues.

• Assist with data migration, reconciliation, and quality assurance activities.

• Participate in Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.

• Deliver iterative enhancements that align with mission objectives.

• Aid in release management, deployments, and post-production stabilization efforts.

• Support cybersecurity, audit, ATO, and compliance initiatives.

• Ensure compliance with DoD financial management policies and federal regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active DoD Secret clearance is required.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Over 5 years of SAP functional experience in one or more modules: FI, CO, FM, or SD.

• Practical experience in implementing or supporting SAP S/4HANA.

• Strong comprehension of enterprise financial management and logistics business processes.

• Capability to write functional specifications for custom SAP developments.

• Experience with testing, production support, and system enhancements.

• Exceptional analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Experience in supporting Department of Defense ERP modernization initiatives.

• Familiarity with SAP Activate implementation methodology and Agile software development practices.

• Experience integrating FI/CO/FM/SD with MM, TM, EWM, EAM, or GTS modules.

• Knowledge of SAP Fiori applications and contemporary user experience design.

• SAP certification in either FI, CO, FM, or SD modules.

• Understanding of federal financial management regulations and government accounting standards.

• Experience with SAP Master Data Governance, Business Workflow, or Analytics Cloud.

• Project management or Agile certifications (PMP, CSM, SAFe) are preferred.
