Working Student, AI Solutions Architect – Generative AI, Data Platforms

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Transform business workflows, existing systems, and data limitations into solution designs that include assumptions and acceptance criteria.

• Develop data flows that interconnect ingestion, storage, retrieval, model inference, APIs, and downstream enterprise systems.

• Assess cloud services, open-source components, and on-premises deployment options considering security, reliability, cost, and maintainability.

• Produce architecture diagrams, technical decision documentation, and delivery time estimates.

• Participate in discovery workshops and design evaluation sessions.

• Validate assumptions using Python, SQL, API integrations, or infrastructure prototypes.

• Collaborate with engineers during the implementation phase.

• Define access controls, evaluation processes, observability measures, and human approval stages for enterprise RAG and agentic workflows.

• Engage directly with founders and engineers on customer-oriented architecture and implementation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a relevant technical discipline at a university.

• Significant hands-on experience in building software or data systems.

• Proven track record of delivering systems utilized by others.

• Capability to articulate design decisions, implementation processes, and operational insights.

• Proficient in Python and SQL.

• Practical experience with cloud technologies.

• Familiarity with APIs, data modeling, and deployment processes.

• Applied knowledge of large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, and essential data foundations.

• Ability to manage a defined workstream, identify risks early, and communicate technical decisions effectively in English.

• Experience with Amazon Bedrock, Anthropic Claude, Terraform, Lakehouse architecture, or engaging in technical discovery with business stakeholders is a plus.

• Must submit a CV, details of current studies, location, weekly availability, and a brief example of system design/build.
