Workflow, Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate existing processes, user requirements, business rules, handoffs, data inputs, decision-making paths, and exceptions to uncover automation possibilities.

• Create and implement workflow applications, services, scripts, rules, notifications, forms, and integrations utilizing customer-approved technologies.

• Automate tasks related to evidence gathering, task routing, status monitoring, approvals, policy compliance, and operational reporting.

• Connect workflows with APIs, data sources, security tools, ATO automation features, and customer databases.

• Design unit, integration, and end-to-end automated tests while assisting in user and operational validation.

• Uphold Launch Pad-aligned documentation, which includes roadmaps, ADRs, runbooks, README content, change plans, and release notes.

• Engage in code reviews, presentations, backlog refinement, defect resolution, and ongoing improvement initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline; 8+ years of pertinent experience for mid-level roles or equivalent demonstrated proficiency.

• Proven experience in software development, workflow automation, scripting, services, or low-code/no-code automation within enterprise settings.

• Capability to convert process and user requirements into sustainable automated solutions.

• Familiarity with APIs, data integration, automated testing, source control, and CI/CD practices.

• Eligibility to obtain a 6c Public Trust.

• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.

• Preferred: Proficiency in Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar programming languages.

• Preferred: Experience with Workflow/BPM platforms.

• Preferred: Knowledge of REST APIs.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Jira/Confluence.

• Preferred: Experience with GitLab.

• Preferred: Knowledge of AWS.

• Preferred: Familiarity with automated testing frameworks.

• Preferred: Expertise in rules/policy automation.
