Principal Full Stack Engineer – Travel & Ticketing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Drive the ongoing enhancement of OleOleSport.com, a consumer-oriented commerce platform.

• Build and expand core systems that support ticket sales, hospitality packages, supporter travel, memberships, event experiences, and upcoming commerce projects.

• Develop and manage high-traffic transactional web applications.

• Collaborate with company leadership, product, design, and engineering teams to shape technical architecture and product strategy.

• Construct systems that enhance customer experience, optimize conversion, facilitate search, manage checkout, handle payments, and ensure operational scalability.

• Integrate third-party commercial services and APIs.

• Provide support for a global platform catering to football fans attending matches and events worldwide.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7–10 years of professional software engineering experience in building and operating production web applications.

• Demonstrated experience in developing consumer-facing platforms within travel, hospitality, ticketing, events, e-commerce, marketplaces, loyalty programs, or online booking systems.

• Strong full-stack development expertise using modern web technologies, including frontend frameworks, backend services, APIs, and relational databases.

• Experience in designing and implementing high-volume transactional systems that involve search, bookings, reservations, payments, checkout processes, customer accounts, or order management.

• Familiarity with integrating third-party APIs, including payment gateways, travel suppliers, ticketing systems, CRM platforms, marketing platforms, analytics tools, and other commercial services.

• Solid understanding of website performance, scalability, reliability, security, and best practices for customer experience.

• Experience in building responsive web applications optimized for both desktop and mobile users.

• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, logging, and production support.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to work independently in a dynamic startup environment.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Preferred: experience with online travel agencies, ticketing companies, hospitality platforms, marketplaces, or large-scale e-commerce ventures.

• Preferred: experience with international consumer products catering to multiple countries, languages, currencies, and payment methods.

• Preferred: experience with SEO-driven websites and strategies for organic traffic growth.

• Preferred: experience with loyalty, rewards, membership, referral, or affiliate programs.

• Preferred: experience in supporting high-growth consumer businesses and scaling platforms for large user bases.

• Passion for football, sports, travel, or live events.

• Knowledge of football and international sports is a significant advantage.
