Workflow Developer, Tester

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.

📋 Description

• Execute Temporal workflow activities in Go, which includes HSS adapter, PCRF adapter, and Inventory updates.

• Develop and validate unit tests for all workflow activities.

• Create the Inventory Management Database, incorporating tables, indexes, and partitioning for 30 million records.

• Construct bulk import tools for CSV to ICCID/IMSI/MSISDN range ingestion.

• Implement REST API endpoints for inventory allocation, reservation, release, and SIM record inquiries.

• Write integration tests that encompass workflow, mock NE, and database assertions.

• Assist the Senior Developer with workflow development tasks through pair programming.

• Develop a comprehensive end-to-end test suite covering SIM activation to order completion.

• Conduct load and stress testing on provisioning systems.

• Integrate workflow and API tests into the CI pipeline.

• Implement HSS synchronization integration from mock to actual network elements.

• Integrate MNP hooks into the Inventory Database.

• Assist with UAT by reproducing bugs, crafting regression tests, and validating fixes.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in backend software development within production environments.

• Proficiency in Go or Java; Go is the primary development language.

• Java is acceptable if you have strong fundamentals and a willingness to transition to Go.

• Experience in REST API development.

• Familiarity with PostgreSQL: table design, indexes, queries, and query plans.

• Experience in unit and integration testing.

• Proficient in Git: branching, pull requests, and code review involvement.

• Experience with event-driven architectures utilizing RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Redis Pub/Sub.

• Basic knowledge of Kubernetes.

• Ability to work under the technical guidance of a senior lead and execute tasks promptly.

• Fluent in English.

• Advantageous: experience with workflow engines such as Temporal, Camunda, Apache Airflow, or AWS Step Functions.

• Advantageous: background in telecom or BSS/OSS.

• Advantageous: familiarity with Go testing, Testify, and mock frameworks.

• Advantageous: experience with load testing tools like k6, Locust, or JMeter.

• Advantageous: experience with Docker.

• Advantageous: knowledge of event-sourced or append-only database patterns.

• Nice to have: experience with Temporal.io SDK.

• Nice to have: proficiency in Python.

• Nice to have: experience with Prometheus instrumentation.

• Nice to have: familiarity with Diameter, SS7, or SMPP.
