Workflow Developer, Tester

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Execute Temporal workflow activities in Go, including HSS adapter, PCRF adapter, and Inventory updates.

• Develop and validate unit tests for all workflow activities.

• Create the Inventory Management Database with tables, indexes, and partitioning for 30 million records.

• Design bulk import tools for CSV to ICCID/IMSI/MSISDN range ingestion from vendors.

• Implement REST API endpoints for inventory allocation, reservation, release, and SIM record inquiries.

• Write integration tests that encompass workflow, mock NE, and database validations.

• Assist the Senior Developer with workflow development tasks through collaborative pair programming.

• Build an end-to-end test suite for the complete provisioning process from SIM activation to order closure.

• Conduct load and stress testing to simulate peak TPS provisioning across various systems.

• Integrate workflow and API tests into the CI pipeline.

• Implement HSS synchronization integration, transitioning from mock to real network element.

• Add MNP hooks in the Inventory Database.

• Support UAT by reproducing bugs, developing regression tests, and verifying fixes.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–4 years of backend software development experience in production environments.

• Proficiency in Go or Java; primary development language is Go.

• Java is acceptable with strong fundamentals and a willingness to transition to Go.

• Experience in REST API development.

• Familiarity with PostgreSQL, including table design, indexing, queries, and query plans.

• Background in unit and integration testing.

• Experience with Git, including branching, pull requests, and participation in code reviews.

• Knowledge of event-driven architectures using RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Redis Pub/Sub.

• Basic understanding of Kubernetes.

• Ability to work under the technical direction of a senior lead and execute tasks promptly.

• Proficient in English.

• Experience with any workflow engine: Temporal, Camunda, Apache Airflow, or AWS Step Functions.

• Background in Telecom or BSS/OSS.

• Experience with Go testing, Testify, or mock frameworks.

• Familiarity with load testing tools such as k6, Locust, or JMeter.

• Experience with Docker.

• Knowledge of event-sourced or append-only database patterns.

• Familiarity with the Temporal.io SDK.

• Proficiency in Python for scripting, test tooling, or data processing.

• Understanding of Prometheus instrumentation.

• Familiarity with Diameter, SS7, or SMPP.
