Workflow Developer, Tester

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement Temporal workflow activities using Go, which includes the HSS adapter, PCRF adapter, and Inventory updates.

• Create and validate unit tests for all workflow activities.

• Design and establish the Inventory Management Database, encompassing tables, indexes, and partitioning for 30 million records.

• Develop bulk import tools for the ingestion of CSV-to-ICCID/IMSI/MSISDN ranges from vendors.

• Create REST API endpoints for allocating, reserving, releasing, and querying SIM records.

• Write integration tests that cover workflow, mock Network Elements, and database assertions.

• Assist the Senior Developer with workflow development tasks through pair programming as needed.

• Construct a comprehensive end-to-end test suite that encompasses SIM activation to order closure.

• Conduct load and stress testing to evaluate peak-TPS provisioning across all systems.

• Integrate workflow and API tests into the Continuous Integration pipeline.

• Implement HSS synchronization to ensure IMSI allocation states are accurately reflected in the HSS.

• Incorporate MNP hooks into the Inventory Database.

• Provide support for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by reproducing bugs, writing regression tests, and validating fixes.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in backend software development within production environments.

• Proficiency in Go or Java, with Go as the primary development language.

• Java experience is acceptable if the candidate possesses strong fundamentals and a willingness to transition to Go.

• Experience in REST API development.

• Proficient in PostgreSQL, including table design, indexes, queries, and query plans.

• Knowledge of unit and integration testing practices.

• Familiarity with Git, including branching, pull requests, and participating in code reviews.

• Experience with event-driven architectures, utilizing RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Redis Pub/Sub.

• Basic knowledge of Kubernetes.

• Ability to work under the technical guidance of a senior lead and execute tasks efficiently.

• Fluent in English.

• Strong advantage: experience with workflow engines such as Temporal, Camunda, Apache Airflow, or AWS Step Functions.

• Strong advantage: background in telecom or BSS/OSS.

• Strong advantage: experience with Go testing frameworks, such as Testify or mock frameworks.

• Strong advantage: experience in load testing using k6, Locust, or JMeter.

• Strong advantage: familiarity with Docker.

• Strong advantage: understanding of event-sourced or append-only database patterns.

• Nice to have: experience with the Temporal.io SDK.

• Nice to have: proficiency in Python.

• Nice to have: familiarity with Prometheus.

• Nice to have: knowledge of Diameter, SS7, or SMPP.
