Workflow Developer, Tester

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Develop Temporal workflow activities in Go, which include HSS adapter, PCRF adapter, and Inventory updates.

• Create and validate unit tests for the workflow activities.

• Design the Inventory Management Database with tables, indexes, and partitioning to accommodate 30 million records.

• Build bulk import tools for ingesting CSV data into ICCID/IMSI/MSISDN ranges.

• Develop REST API endpoints for inventory allocation, reservation, release, and SIM record queries.

• Write integration tests that cover workflows, mock network elements, and database validations.

• Assist the Senior Developer with workflow development tasks through collaborative pair programming.

• Create an end-to-end test suite that encompasses SIM activation to order closure.

• Conduct load and stress testing for peak-TPS provisioning across various systems.

• Integrate workflow and API tests into the Continuous Integration pipeline.

• Synchronize HSS to ensure that IMSI allocation states are accurately represented.

• Implement MNP hooks within the Inventory Database.

• Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by replicating bugs, writing regression tests, and confirming fixes.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–4 years of backend software development experience in production environments.

• Proficient in Go or Java, with Go being the primary development language.

• Strong fundamentals in Java are acceptable, with a willingness to transition to Go.

• Experience in REST API development.

• Proficient in PostgreSQL table design, indexing, querying, and query optimization.

• Experience with unit and integration testing.

• Familiarity with Git branching, pull requests, and participation in code reviews.

• Experience with event-driven architectures utilizing RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Redis Pub/Sub.

• Basic knowledge of Kubernetes.

• Ability to work under the technical guidance of a senior lead and execute tasks efficiently.

• Fluent in English.

• Experience with any workflow engine such as Temporal, Camunda, Apache Airflow, or AWS Step Functions.

• Background in Telecom or BSS/OSS.

• Experience with Go testing, including Testify and mock frameworks.

• Familiarity with load testing tools such as k6, Locust, or JMeter.

• Experience with Docker.

• Knowledge of event-sourced or append-only database patterns.

• Familiarity with the Temporal.io SDK.

• Proficiency in Python for scripting, test tooling, or data processing.

• Knowledge of Prometheus instrumentation.

• Familiarity with Diameter, SS7, or SMPP protocols.
