Workflow Developer, Tester

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Finland.

📋 Description

• Implement workflow activities using Temporal in Go, which includes the HSS adapter, PCRF adapter, and Inventory updates.

• Develop and validate unit tests for all workflow activities.

• Create the Inventory Management Database with tables, indexes, and partitioning to accommodate 30 million records.

• Develop bulk import tools for ingesting CSV data into ICCID/IMSI/MSISDN ranges from vendors.

• Implement REST API endpoints for inventory allocation, reservation, release, and SIM record queries.

• Write integration tests that encompass workflow, mock network elements, and database assertions.

• Assist the Senior Developer with workflow development tasks through pair programming.

• Create a comprehensive end-to-end test suite that covers SIM activation through to order closure.

• Conduct load and stress testing for peak TPS provisioning across all systems.

• Integrate workflow and API tests into the continuous integration pipeline.

• Implement HSS synchronization to ensure that IMSI allocation status is accurately reflected in HSS.

• Add MNP hooks within the Inventory Database.

• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by reproducing bugs, writing regression tests, and validating fixes.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–4 years of backend software development experience in production environments.

• Proficiency in Go or Java, with Go as the primary development language.

• Java developers are welcome, provided they possess strong fundamentals and a willingness to transition to Go.

• Experience in REST API development.

• Familiarity with PostgreSQL, including table design, indexing, queries, and query plans.

• Experience with unit and integration testing.

• Proficient in Git, including branching, pull requests, and participation in code reviews.

• Experience with event-driven architectures utilizing RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Redis Pub/Sub.

• Basic knowledge of Kubernetes.

• Ability to work under the technical guidance of a senior lead and execute tasks promptly.

• Proficiency in English.

• Experience with any workflow engine such as Temporal, Camunda, Apache Airflow, or AWS Step Functions.

• Background in telecommunications or BSS/OSS.

• Experience with Go testing frameworks like Testify or mock frameworks.

• Familiarity with load testing tools like k6, Locust, or JMeter.

• Experience with Docker.

• Knowledge of event-sourced or append-only database patterns.

• Familiarity with the Temporal.io SDK.

• Proficiency in Python for scripting, test tooling, or data processing.

• Knowledge of Prometheus instrumentation.

• Familiarity with Diameter, SS7, or SMPP.
