Workers Compensation Claims Examiner – Strong VT Jurisdictional Experience & VT Licensing Required, Additional Jurisdictions: CT, MA, NH, RI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Evaluate Workers Compensation Lost-Time claims on behalf of clients to ascertain due benefits.

• Maintain ongoing adjudication of claims in alignment with service expectations, industry best practices, and client service standards.

• Assess and manage claims through action plans aimed at prompt resolution.

• Conduct investigations and gather information to evaluate claim exposure.

• Negotiate claim settlements within the defined authority limits.

• Update claimants and clients regarding claim activity and processing.

• Submit claims to the excess carrier.

• Respond to requests for guidance in a professional and timely manner.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.

• Professional certification relevant to the line of business is preferred.

• A minimum of 4 years of claims management experience or a suitable combination of education and experience is required.

• Strong experience in Vermont jurisdiction is essential.

• Vermont licensing is mandatory.

• Knowledge of jurisdictions: CT, MA, NH, RI, VT is required.

• Ability to think clearly and conceptually.

• Excellent judgment, troubleshooting skills, problem-solving abilities, analytical skills, and discretion are essential.

• Capacity to manage work-related stress.

• Ability to juggle multiple priorities at once.

• Capability to meet deadlines.

• Proficiency in computer keyboarding.
