This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +6 more states.
β’ Evaluate Workers Compensation Lost-Time claims on behalf of clients to ascertain due benefits.
β’ Maintain ongoing adjudication of claims in alignment with service expectations, industry best practices, and client service standards.
β’ Assess and manage claims through action plans aimed at prompt resolution.
β’ Conduct investigations and gather information to evaluate claim exposure.
β’ Negotiate claim settlements within the defined authority limits.
β’ Update claimants and clients regarding claim activity and processing.
β’ Submit claims to the excess carrier.
β’ Respond to requests for guidance in a professional and timely manner.
β’ High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
β’ A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
β’ Professional certification relevant to the line of business is preferred.
β’ A minimum of 4 years of claims management experience or a suitable combination of education and experience is required.
β’ Strong experience in Vermont jurisdiction is essential.
β’ Vermont licensing is mandatory.
β’ Knowledge of jurisdictions: CT, MA, NH, RI, VT is required.
β’ Ability to think clearly and conceptually.
β’ Excellent judgment, troubleshooting skills, problem-solving abilities, analytical skills, and discretion are essential.
β’ Capacity to manage work-related stress.
