Claims Specialist II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist clients throughout the claims process

• Investigate and handle claims related to vehicle and property damage as well as moderate bodily injury

• Review and clarify coverage specifics and claims procedures

• Set reserves for expected expenses

• Organize vehicle inspections and authorize rentals

• Respond to customer inquiries and concerns during the claims process

• Gather information from involved parties and witnesses via phone calls, emails, texts, and letters

• Analyze law enforcement reports and collect additional evidence such as dash-cam and surveillance video

• Evaluate the facts of loss and establish liability

• Identify and escalate high-risk cases involving significant indemnity exposure or suspected fraud

• Review medical records to assess, negotiate, and resolve moderate bodily injury claims

• Coordinate with legal counsel, represented claimants, unrepresented parties, and various departments

• Collaborate with the team to assist shared customers

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Bachelor’s degree preferred

• 6 months of customer service experience in a high-volume environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• 6-12 months of claims adjusting experience preferred

• Previous experience in a remote work setting is an advantage

• Reliable high-speed internet connection with a minimum of 25 Mbps download speed

• Dedicated workspace that is free from distractions

• Ability to maintain a seated position for prolonged periods

• Proficient in electronic and telephonic communication with team members, customers, and external parties

• Capable of operating and typing on a computer, laptop, and/or other Company-issued electronic devices for extended periods

• Ability to access and utilize Company computer systems, prepare documents, enter data, and read from a computer database or email system

• Capability to bend, stoop, reach, climb, and/or stand to access files, documents, and equipment

• Skill in grasping, opening, and closing drawers, filing cabinets, and other equipment
