This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mississippi, +1 more state.
β’ Conduct virtual and on-site assessments at the residences of policyholders.
β’ Evaluate property damage, ascertain liability, assess losses, and negotiate equitable settlements.
β’ Utilize claims management software, a company vehicle, and a laptop to assess damage and create estimates in a paperless environment.
β’ Identify and report potential subrogation opportunities.
β’ Report incidents of theft, fraud, or arson to relevant state and industry agencies.
β’ Carry out responsibilities independently, with work directly influencing management decisions.
β’ Represent the company in a professional manner during public interactions.
β’ Interact with policyholders, claimants, agents, witnesses, contractors, law enforcement, investigators, attorneys, medical professionals, and other key stakeholders.
β’ Negotiate settlements with policyholders regarding claims.
β’ Advocate for safety and adhere to company safety and ergonomic standards.
β’ Commit to 1β3 catastrophe deployments annually, which typically last around 23 days.
β’ Execute necessary duties both in the field and from a home office environment.
β’ High School diploma or its equivalent is mandatory.
β’ Strong customer service background, ideally in a retail setting.
β’ Experience in construction or insurance is highly preferred.
β’ Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
β’ Proficient in computer applications: MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
β’ Familiarity with smartphones and various applications.
β’ Willingness to learn about insurance policies and property damage.
β’ Valid driver's license and bondable status required.
β’ Final candidates must pass a Motor Vehicle Record background check.
β’ Applicants must reside within the hiring territory of Southaven, MS/South Memphis, TN.
β’ Must be willing and able to climb ladders and access rooftops several times a day.
β’ Comfortable working in tight, confined spaces such as attics and crawlspaces.
β’ Achieve a minimum passing score on all claims training examinations.
β’ Ability to perform physical tasks including bending, kneeling, pulling, pushing, sorting, carrying up to 50 lbs., climbing, reaching, standing, walking, as well as proficiently reading, writing, and speaking English.
