Claims Examiner – Liability, Multi State Jurisdiction, Auto, BI, PD, GL

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Evaluate complex or technically challenging liability claims to ascertain benefits owed.

• Manage high-exposure claims that involve litigation and rehabilitation processes.

• Ensure the continuous adjudication of claims meets service expectations, industry standards, and specific client service requirements.

• Identify subrogation opportunities for claims and negotiate settlements accordingly.

• Analyze and process claims through actionable plans to achieve timely resolutions.

• Investigate and collect information to assess claim exposure accurately.

• Negotiate claim settlements within the established authority limits.

• Maintain clear communication regarding claim activities and processes with claimants and clients.

• Report claims to the excess carrier as necessary.

• Respond to requests for guidance in a professional and timely manner.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.

• Professional certification relevant to the line of business is preferred.

• A minimum of 5 years of claims management experience or a combination of education and experience is required.

• A New York license is preferred.

• A reciprocal license is required.

• Knowledge of nationwide jurisdiction is essential.

• Capacity to think clearly and conceptually is necessary.

• Exceptional judgment, troubleshooting, problem-solving skills, analysis, and discretion are required.

• Ability to manage work-related stress effectively.

• Capability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.

• Ability to meet established deadlines.

• Proficiency in computer keyboarding is necessary.

• Willingness to travel as needed.

• Adequate hearing, vision, and speaking abilities.
