Workers' Compensation Claims Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada.

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Oversee and act as the company's representative for Workers' Compensation claims managed by Third-Party Administrators (TPAs) across the country.

β€’ Act as the main point of contact for TPAs, MGM department leaders, and employees who have been injured.

β€’ Supervise TPA operations to ensure quality assurance, effective claim management, medical management services, and oversight of litigation costs.

β€’ Review TPA compliance with Best Practices and Special Handling Instructions.

β€’ Manage Workers' Compensation claims for Nevada, Michigan, Ohio, Massachusetts, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, and Mississippi.

β€’ Evaluate claim documentation and administration, including data entry, claim reporting, medical management, reserving, communication with claimants, documentation, litigation, settlements, and return-to-work processes.

β€’ Identify trends and opportunities for program enhancement in collaboration with the Director of Workers' Compensation.

β€’ Conduct quarterly reviews of claims with TPA adjusters.

β€’ Audit TPA files for evidence and plans for resolving cases.

β€’ Pinpoint cases that require resolution and collaborate with adjusters to ensure timely resolution.

β€’ Maintain consistent communication with TPA claims staff.

β€’ Develop strategies for cost containment and claim resolution in partnership with TPA claims handlers.

β€’ Work alongside Return to Work Specialists and the ADA Department regarding processes for permanent restrictions.

β€’ Provide education and training within the department to help minimize injury occurrences.

β€’ Assist injured workers in navigating the Workers' Compensation claim process.

β€’ Manage the Workers' Compensation claims system on a weekly basis to provide data for OSHA 300 and 301 logs while ensuring compliance in reporting.

β€’ Stay informed about current Workers' Compensation regulations, laws, and rulings.

β€’ Complete additional projects and tasks as directed by Risk Management leadership.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ High School Diploma or GED.

β€’ A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a public company within the State of Nevada.

β€’ Bachelor's Degree is preferred.

β€’ A Nevada State Worker's Compensation license is preferred.

β€’ Previous experience in a similar resort environment is preferred.
