This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Senegal.
• Oversee the implementation of digital worker voice initiatives in workplaces across French-speaking African countries.
• Conduct training for supplier platforms and offer technical assistance.
• Handle grievance cases while coordinating with suppliers and brands.
• Provide support for investigations and remediation requests from brands.
• Create and revise onboarding materials for suppliers and workers.
• Maintain regular communication with supplier management from program inception to status updates.
• Collaborate with the Director of Client Services, Client Services Senior Managers, Managers, and the Deployment Team to ensure successful implementation.
• Collect feedback and suggestions from clients and suppliers to guide platform improvements.
• Engage with workers, suppliers, and brands to foster significant impact.
• Introduce digital worker engagement programs to suppliers, secure management support, train management on platform utilization, and encourage worker involvement.
• Individual or organization located in Africa, specifically within the designated eligible African nations.
• Background in social compliance or labor rights.
• Knowledge and experience in supply chains, corporate sourcing, ethical procurement, grievance mechanisms, social impact, sustainability, international development, social impact technology, and/or business and human rights.
• Over 5 years of experience in the global supply chain sector, focusing on delivering social or labor impact projects.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills in both English and French.
• Highly organized, conscientious, and accountable.
• Experience in customer/client service and project delivery.
• Occasional national travel may be necessary.
• Understanding of labor, human, and community rights issues within global supply chains.
• Familiarity with community relations and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
• Experience in adopting new technologies and training others in their use.
• Self-driven, adaptable to ambiguity and change, with the ability to take charge of projects.
• Strong passion for equality and safe working environments.
• Knowledge of auditing and international certification standards such as BSCI, ETI, and SA8000, grievance mechanisms, industry associations, and sustainability organizations like SEDEX is advantageous.
