This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Benin.
• Oversee the implementation of digital worker voice initiatives in workplaces across French-speaking African countries.
• Direct training and provide technical assistance for supplier platforms.
• Handle grievance issues within programs utilizing a digital grievance system, collaborating with suppliers and brands.
• Offer investigative and remediation assistance upon request from brands.
• Create and revise onboarding materials for both suppliers and workers.
• Maintain consistent communication with supplier management from program initiation to ongoing status updates.
• Coordinate with the Director of Client Services, Client Services Senior Managers, Managers, and the Deployment Team to ensure successful program rollout.
• Collect feedback and suggestions from clients and suppliers to enhance platform development.
• Interact with workers, suppliers, and brands to foster significant impact.
• Introduce digital worker engagement initiatives to suppliers, both virtually and on-site when feasible.
• Secure management approval, educate management on platform usage, engage workers, and encourage participation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve favorable results.
• Reside in Africa, specifically in one of the following countries: Algeria, Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Djibouti, Gabon, Guinea, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Niger, Senegal, Togo, or Tunisia.
• Background in social compliance or labor rights.
• Knowledge and experience in supply chains, corporate sourcing, ethical procurement, grievance mechanisms, social impact, sustainability, international development, social impact technology, and/or business and human rights.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the global supply chain sector, focusing on social or labor impact projects.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills in both English and French.
• Experience in customer/client service and project delivery.
• Highly organized, diligent, and responsible.
• Willingness to travel nationally on occasion.
• Insight into labor, human, and community rights issues within global supply chains.
• Familiarity with community relations and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
• Experience in adopting new technologies and training others in their use.
• Self-driven, adaptable to change and ambiguity, and ready to take ownership of projects.
• Commitment to equality and safe workplace environments.
• Knowledge of auditing, international certification standards such as BSCI, ETI, and SA8000, as well as internal and external grievance mechanisms, industry associations, and sustainability organizations like SEDEX is advantageous.
