Workday Financials Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead Workday Financials workstreams and facilitate complete lifecycle implementations from discovery to support transition.

• Design and manage integrations between Workday and both internal and third-party applications utilizing Workday Studio, Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), and various other integration tools.

• Assess finance and accounting business requirements and develop scalable solutions across Record to Report, Procure to Pay, and Order to Cash processes.

• Produce requirements, design documents, process flows, test scenarios, use cases, training materials, user guides, policies, and support procedures.

• Coordinate project timelines, priorities, resources, risks, dependencies, and deliverables.

• Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Technology, clients, global resources, and third-party vendors.

• Deliver advanced application support, troubleshoot issues, manage incidents and escalations, and facilitate resolutions.

• Plan, test, implement, and communicate updates and enhancements for Workday and third-party cloud applications.

• Oversee financial data integrity, system availability, security, and adherence to technology controls.

• Recognize and implement process enhancements, automation, artificial intelligence tools, and integrations.

• Monitor service and performance metrics, gather stakeholder feedback, and suggest improvements.

• Mentor project team members and junior staff, escalating risks alongside technical or functional alternatives.

• Undertake other related duties and projects as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field; or eight years of equivalent professional experience.

• A minimum of five years consulting or industry experience in Workday Financials or the ERP finance domain.

• At least two years of experience leading Workday Financials workstreams or project teams.

• Experience with at least one complete lifecycle Workday Financials implementation.

• Proven functional knowledge of financial systems and processes, including Record to Report, Procure to Pay, or Order to Cash.

• Experience in defining system strategy and requirements, designing and prototyping solutions, executing tests, providing training, establishing support procedures, and implementing business solutions under tight deadlines.

• Workday Financials Professional certification, or the ability to obtain certification within six months of joining.

• Willingness to travel up to 15%, depending on client and business needs.

• Familiarity with SQL is a plus, though not required.
