Workday Financial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Act as a subject matter authority in Workday Financials modules.

• Manage daily production challenges and engage in process design and module implementation initiatives.

• Offer on-demand assistance to accounting and finance teams during month-end and year-end closing periods.

• Facilitate strategic initiatives by gathering requirements, conducting functionality research, testing, and implementing solutions.

• Create, enhance, and sustain Prism datasets, data sources, calculated fields, and dashboards.

• Investigate and document existing and forthcoming Workday capabilities.

• Collaborate with Finance and Accounting teams to convert business needs into Workday reports, dashboards, integrations, and accounting regulations.

• Oversee and improve Workday Financials security roles and data governance.

• Propel reporting and analytics strategy utilizing Prism and Workday reporting tools.

• Assist with module rollouts, system upgrades, and Workday releases through testing and validation processes.

• Deliver end-user training, documentation, and support for Finance stakeholders.

• Address complex reporting and analytics inquiries.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in Workday Finance in an implementation, consulting, or technical support capacity.

• At least 2 years of experience implementing or supporting Workday Prism and/or Accounting Center.

• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and teamwork abilities.

• Proficient writing skills for high-quality technical documentation.

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience.

• Workday FIN Core and Workday Prism certification is desirable.

• Preferred experience in full project lifecycle and Workday implementation.

• Expertise in Financial Accounting, Business Assets, Bank & Settlement, and Expenses.

• Solid understanding of ERP systems, concepts, and module interactions.

• Familiarity with Finance business processes and reporting.

• Capability to gather and evaluate business-user requirements for Workday configuration.

• Willingness to learn Workday concepts as new features are introduced.

• Skill in prioritizing workload and ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.

• Ability to multitask across various projects and deliverables.

• Competence in monitoring, troubleshooting, and debugging Workday integrations.

• JIRA experience is advantageous.

• Experience in integrating billing and revenue from third-party systems is a plus.
