Financial Clearance Associate, Business Support

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Collect and verify demographic details along with insurance information, which includes authorizations, referrals, and notifications.

• Arrange patients' initial, follow-up, and additional appointments and procedures.

• Operate in a call center setting while achieving personal quality metrics such as productivity, accuracy, and customer service quality assurance.

• Manage patient flow and process requests efficiently.

• Stay informed and apply department, physician practice, and hospital protocols to address patient inquiries or issues.

• Understand and communicate insurance requirements, BHSF pricing, financial assistance alternatives, and BHSF Revenue Cycle operations.

• Deliver professional, empathetic, and friendly service to patients, families, employees, physicians, and members of the community.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma, Certification, GED, Training, or Experience.

• Successfully complete the Patient Access training program.

• Capability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment.

• Proficiency in performing basic mathematical calculations.

• Detail-oriented, organized, collaborative team player with compassion, outstanding customer service, and interpersonal communication abilities.

• Basic understanding of medical and insurance terminology (preferred).

• Experience with computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, familiarity with EMR applications, etc.) and proficient typing skills.

• Knowledge of regulatory standards, including HIPAA, AHCA, EMTALA, and Medicare coverage structures, particularly regarding medical necessity compliance guidelines.

• Bilingual in English and Spanish/Creole.
