Senior Finance Associate, Net Revenue

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Cultivate extensive expertise in the operational and financial factors driving net revenue within hospitals and health systems.

• Assist in the monthly net revenue closing process for hospital and health system clients by analyzing financial outcomes, pinpointing variances, and ensuring precise and timely reporting.

• Examine intricate financial and operational data to uncover trends, discrepancies, and opportunities that influence net revenue, reimbursement, and overall financial performance.

• Utilize accounting and finance principles to assess client-specific challenges, including accruals, impacts on financial statements, and revenue recognition.

• Collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to address financial inquiries, clarify findings, and offer actionable recommendations.

• Oversee multiple client engagements and special projects while effectively managing priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.

• Provide results-oriented solutions to clients.

• Guide and mentor junior team members by sharing technical insights and reviewing their work.

• Occasionally engage in business development and sales initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2+ years of experience in a consulting firm or health system setting.

• A Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting is required.

• CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory.

• Strong analytical abilities and experience with complex financial data sets.

• Fundamental understanding of cash versus accrual accounting principles.

• Basic knowledge of the relationship between the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement.

• Familiarity with healthcare financial accounting and reporting, including reimbursement processes, month-end closing, and net revenue analysis, is preferred.
