Workday Finance Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• Offer consulting assistance to Finance stakeholders regarding the functionality and optimization of Workday Financials.

• Diagnose Workday Finance issues, conduct root cause analysis, and resolve challenges affecting daily operations.

• Configure and provide support for Workday Finance modules, which include Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Procurement, Grants, Projects, and Expenses.

• Counsel stakeholders on business process design, associated risks, and best-practice solutions.

• Define and validate business requirements, data dictionaries, and raw-data access needs in collaboration with the Analytics Organization.

• Oversee testing and the implementation of bi-annual and other Workday updates.

• Extract, parse, join, standardize, augment, cleanse, consolidate, and filter data from source systems.

• Contribute to the creation of functional design documents, business requirements documents, interface designs, test plans, and screen designs.

• Suggest and prioritize application enhancements and features in collaboration with Finance management, SMEs, and IT Engineers.

• Propose process improvements and implement system capabilities.

• Work alongside Finance, Revenue Cycle, and Supply Chain teams to optimize workflows.

• Ensure adherence to healthcare financial regulations, CMS requirements, state guidelines, and nonprofit reporting standards.

• Create and maintain Workday reports and dashboards.

• Collect and document Workday business requirements and translate them into configuration or reporting solutions.

• Provide training, process documentation, and knowledge resources.

• Collaborate with IT and Analytics teams on enterprise data integrations and reporting, including Epic.

• Manage sustainment requests, enhancements, and projects; investigate recurring errors and outages, and recommend corrective actions.

• Support the development of policies, procedures, and practices for business-performance analysis.

• Partner with IT and Business SMEs for the selection, implementation, and testing of new Finance software and systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree is required; 6 years of additional experience may substitute for the degree.

• Workday Finance certification(s) are necessary.

• Experience with healthcare ERP/EHR integrations (e.g., Workday with Epic) is preferred.

• Familiarity with CMS reporting requirements and nonprofit finance standards is advantageous.

• Previous experience in healthcare organizations is essential.
