Workday Benefits – HRIS Functional Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Configure and refresh benefit plans, eligibility criteria, and coverage options for the 2027 plan year.

• Establish Open Enrollment event types, enrollment durations, and communication materials within Workday.

• Revise benefit rates, rate tables, and provider premium schedules.

• Oversee comprehensive Open Enrollment testing, which includes configuring test scenarios, launching test events, and validating business processes.

• Set up Workday ACA eligibility measurement rules, stability periods, and hours tracking.

• Configure Offer and Coverage codes for Lines 14 and 16 on Form 1095-C.

• Audit, troubleshoot, and produce IRS year-end ACA reporting files.

• Act as a Benefits Administrator to resolve configuration issues, conduct audits, and address employee enrollment errors during the active Open Enrollment period.

• Collaborate with functional benefits stakeholders to convert plan modifications into system requirements.

• Execute EIBs for mass data loading, which includes rate updates and enrollment corrections.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience specializing in Workday Benefits and ACA Processing.

• Demonstrated success in managing at least two complete Open Enrollment lifecycles in Workday.

• Experience with a first-year or cutover Open Enrollment cycle is a significant advantage.

• Proficient in configuring Workday benefit plans, eligibility criteria, coverage options, event types, enrollment periods, communication materials, benefit rates, rate tables, and provider premium schedules.

• Skilled in configuring Workday ACA eligibility measurement rules, stability periods, and hours tracking.

• Experience in setting up Offer and Coverage codes for Forms 1095-C/1094-C.

• Background in auditing, troubleshooting, and generating IRS year-end ACA reporting files.

• Expertise in Workday Benefits configuration.

• Familiarity with running EIB mass loads.

• Proficient in Calculated Fields.

• Experienced in Custom Reporting for benefit plan audits and vendor reconciliations.
