Revenue Integrity Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee audit and project assessments by reviewing medical records to ensure charge accuracy, coding assignments, billing compliance, and medical necessity.

• Work in conjunction with coding and financial teams to pinpoint revenue opportunities in alignment with payer guidelines.

• Engage with departmental leadership to discuss findings, documentation standards, and recommendations for improvements.

• Recognize charge trends and gather data for targeted departmental reviews.

• Monitor EPIC Revenue Integrity Dashboards.

• Offer guidance on coding, documentation, regulatory matters, and compliance.

• Conduct group and individual training sessions on charge accuracy, coding/billing compliance, and DTAR/Charge Reconciliation.

• Keep updated knowledge of Charge Description Master, Charge Preference List, and Flowsheet Charging.

• Participate in coding conferences, workshops, and internal sessions to remain informed about regulatory and coding updates.

• Play a role in process improvement initiatives and KPI performance objectives.

• Aid in enhancing revenue cycle operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, accurate reimbursement, charge capture, and claim production.

⛳️ Requirements

• In-depth understanding of healthcare revenue cycle processes, including charge capture, coding, billing compliance, reimbursement, and claim production.

• Strong analytical abilities.

• Dedication to maintaining data integrity.

• Proficient in Epic and Microsoft Office applications.

• Substantial experience in revenue cycle operations.

• Candidates must reside in Missouri, Illinois, Oklahoma, or Wisconsin.

• Bachelor’s degree or a relevant combination of education and experience.

• At least three years of experience in a hospital or physician practice setting.

• Regular keyboard usage and data entry required.

• Capability to undertake specified physical activities, including lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

• No specific professional license or certification is required.
