This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee the configuration of the Workday tenant, including business processes and system settings.
• Direct the updates, releases, and enhancements of the Workday system.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation, configuration guides, and training resources.
• Assess and implement new features within Workday.
• Act as the primary technical escalation point for intricate Workday issues.
• Provide training and support to Tier 1 and Tier 2 support teams.
• Manage ticket queues and address complex system challenges.
• Chair the Workday change control committee alongside HR, Finance, and IS stakeholders.
• Facilitate decision-making for system modifications and enhancements.
• Communicate updates, obtain necessary approvals, and execute changes that impact the organization.
• Encourage the adoption and effective communication of Workday updates.
• Oversee vendor relationships and third-party support.
• Collaborate with the implementation vendor and leaders in HR, Finance, and IS.
• Plan and manage system upgrades and go-live events.
• Support over 2,000 users across diverse business units.
• Manage integrations, reporting, and system security at scale.
• A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technologies, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience.
• Skilled in troubleshooting, Tier 3 support, report generation, and system documentation.
• Minimum of 7 years of direct Workday administration experience.
• Proficient in Workday tenant management, business processes, security roles, access control, integrations (EIB, Core Connect, APIs, Workday Studio), reporting, and release management.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, enterprise integrations, Microsoft Office 365, and data reporting/analytics tools (Prism, calculated fields, dashboards).
• Willingness to pursue Workday certifications and keep up with best practices.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.
• No visa sponsorship is available now or in the future.
• Experience managing integrations with external systems.
• Knowledge of Workday security management and identity and access management systems.
• Understanding of IT security best practices.
• Workday certifications in HCM, Finance, or Security are preferred.
• Additional Workday security or reporting certifications are advantageous.
• CompTIA A+ or other IT certifications are beneficial.
• Experience in application administration, integration/interface management, leading committees, and supporting system implementations.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity, data privacy, disaster recovery, and compliance.
• Ability to support complex, multi-unit environments.
• Capability to plan and manage system upgrades and go-live events.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical users and present to internal audiences.
