This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee the configuration of the Workday tenant, including business processes and system settings.
• Direct updates, releases, and enhancements related to Workday.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation, configuration guides, and training resources.
• Assess and implement new functionalities within Workday.
• Act as the primary technical escalation point for intricate Workday challenges.
• Educate and empower Tier 1 and Tier 2 support teams.
• Manage ticket queues and resolve complex system issues.
• Chair the Workday change control committee alongside HR, Finance, and IS stakeholders.
• Facilitate decision-making regarding system modifications and enhancements.
• Communicate updates, obtain approvals, and execute changes that impact the organization.
• Encourage the adoption and dissemination of Workday changes.
• Manage relationships with vendors and third-party support services.
• Collaborate with the implementation vendor, HR, Finance, and IS leadership.
• Plan and oversee system upgrades and go-live events.
• Provide support for over 2,000 users across various business units.
• Oversee integrations, reporting, and system security on a large scale.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technologies, Computer Science, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience.
• Skilled in troubleshooting, tier-3 support, report generation, and system documentation.
• Over 7 years of practical experience in Workday administration.
• Familiarity with Workday tenant management, business processes, security roles, access control, integrations (EIB, Core Connect, APIs, Workday Studio), reporting, and release management.
• Experience with cloud platforms, enterprise integrations, Microsoft Office 365, and data reporting/analytics tools like Prism, calculated fields, and dashboards.
• Willingness to pursue Workday certifications and remain updated on best practices.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.
• Must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Preferred: experience in managing third-party system integrations, Workday security, identity and access management systems, and IT security best practices.
• Preferred: Workday certifications in HCM, Finance, or Security; additional Workday security or reporting certifications; CompTIA A+ or other IT certifications.
• Preferred: experience in application administration, integrations/interface management, leading committees, and supporting system implementations.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity, data privacy, disaster recovery, and compliance.
• Capacity to support complex, multi-unit environments.
• Ability to plan and manage system upgrades and go-live events.
• Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Adaptability to system updates, process changes, and evolving organizational needs.
