Workato Architecture and Coordination Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Establish, document, and uphold the integration architecture standards for the Group.

• Design integrations among SaaS applications, ERP systems, CRM, HRIS, BI, and other business applications.

• Assess requirements, suggest suitable patterns, and confirm technical decisions.

• Guarantee the reusability, performance, maintainability, and security of integrations.

• Engage in architecture reviews and foresee impacts associated with application modifications.

• Set standards for naming, development, documentation, and deployment within Workato.

• Oversee the management of development, testing, and production environments.

• Control access, roles, connections, secrets, and principles of least privilege.

• Apply best practices for version control, reviews, and production releases.

• Monitor platform capacity and usage, licensing, and risks of obsolescence.

• Functionally coordinate a team of three Workato developers located in India.

• Evaluate and prioritize requests in collaboration with the Group Applications Manager.

• Distribute tasks, clarify expectations, and monitor progress.

• Facilitate design and code reviews and ensure quality validation prior to delivery.

• Foster the team’s skills development and promote knowledge sharing.

• Take part in project scoping, technical workshops, and workload estimations.

• Convert functional requirements into clear and feasible integration solutions.

• Identify dependencies, technical risks, and security prerequisites.

• Coordinate with internal contributors, software vendors, and external partners.

• Provide regular updates on progress, decisions, and alerts.

• Offer Level 3 expertise for complex integration-related incidents.

• Define monitoring, alert systems, recovery procedures, and operational guidelines.

• Analyze recurring incidents and lead corrective and preventive measures.

• Track metrics related to availability, reliability, performance, and processing times.

• Maintain documentation accessible to support and development teams.

• Implement the Group’s security requirements to connectors, APIs, and data exchanges.

• Ensure the safeguarding of sensitive data and the traceability of processing activities.

• Contribute to risk analyses, audits, and remediation strategies.

• Ensure adherence to change-management and production-release protocols.

⛳️ Requirements

• A higher education degree in computer science, information systems, or a related discipline.

• Extensive experience in application integration, preferably a minimum of 7 years.

• Proven expertise with Workato or a similar iPaaS platform, ideally for at least 5 years.

• Experience in technical coordination, solution assessments, or functional leadership of a distributed team.

• Strong proficiency in Workato and the creation of integration recipes.

• Skilled in REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, XML, and authentication protocols such as OAuth 2.0.

• Familiarity with Cloud and SaaS architectures, error management, and integration monitoring.

• Strong understanding of the development lifecycle: design, testing, deployment, operations, and documentation.

• Capability to diagnose complex incidents and propose sustainable solutions.

• Knowledge of an ERP system like Unit4 and a CRM such as Salesforce.

• Experience with Git, API management platforms, DevOps, or other iPaaS solutions.

• Understanding of Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, Power Platform, or ETL tools.

• Experience in international, multi-vendor application settings.

• Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is essential.
