This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee and assist with daily administration tasks for Microsoft Windows systems across DON AWS infrastructures.
• Evaluate systems and applications in accordance with DoD STIGs and SRGs.
• Produce, assess, and interpret ACAS scan results to pinpoint vulnerabilities and facilitate remediation efforts.
• Conduct ongoing monitoring of security and privacy controls as per DoDI 8510.01 RMF to aid in system ATO sustainability.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows operating systems.
• Set up, configure, and resolve issues with IIS, Tomcat, and Apache web servers.
• Identify and rectify network challenges related to VLAN tagging, subnetting, routing, link aggregation, LACP, and virtual network technologies.
• Manage Active Directory and oversee system and application user accounts.
• Document and submit updates for DNS servers within Navy and DISA domains.
• Diagnose and resolve issues affecting connectivity, communication, and technical performance of portfolio systems and applications.
• Analyze and troubleshoot operating system, hardware, and application problems.
• Conduct system failure analysis and recovery, ensuring the integrity of the file system.
• Complete assigned service tickets.
• Monitor database logs, errors, performance metrics, disk space, and CPU usage.
• Provide support for mission-critical Navy enterprise human resources systems in both on-premise and AWS settings.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field; OR a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience.
• At least 5 years of related experience.
• Proven experience as a Windows System Administrator.
• Familiarity with applying DISA STIGs and IAVAs.
• Experience supporting Active Directory.
• Proficient with security compliance tools, such as ACAS.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows systems, networking, and enterprise applications.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage various priorities, service tickets, and operational deadlines.
• Effective communication skills for liaising with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Preferred experience with IIS, Apache, and Tomcat.
• Experience in supporting cloud environments, particularly AWS, is a plus.
• Practical experience with virtual environments.
• Network+, Security+, or higher certification that satisfies DoD CIO Information Assurance certification requirements.
• Must currently hold a Secret clearance.
• Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
