This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage Windows Server environments across production, staging, and development, including tasks related to patching, configuration, and lifecycle management.

• Oversee IIS and application server setups, focusing on app pools, site bindings, logging, and performance settings.

• Assist in supporting Kubernetes-hosted workloads, providing pod-level troubleshooting, deployment assistance, and cluster health monitoring in collaboration with the DevOps team.

• Track system health, respond to alerts, and engage in the team on-call rotation.

• Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as backups, patch cycles, certificate renewals, storage oversight, and capacity assessments.

• Facilitate Active Directory management, including user and group oversight, Group Policy Objects (GPO), and DNS.

• Handle daily Azure administration for the tc.net environment, which encompasses VM management, storage, monitoring, and access control.

• Diagnose and resolve Azure alerts and incidents.

• Enhance and maintain Azure monitoring dashboards and alert configurations.

• Document Azure resources, runbooks, and operational protocols.

• Engage in incident response, diagnosing and addressing systems-layer issues.

• Adhere to and refine change management protocols, including pre-change testing and rollback strategies.

• Create and manage runbooks and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• Contribute to post-incident evaluations, identifying root causes and suggesting preventive measures.

• Act as the infrastructure partner during the production release process.

• Ensure environment readiness for production deployments by validating configurations, infrastructure health, and rollback procedures.

• Participate in release coordination, deployment scheduling, environment sequencing, and risk evaluation.

• Collaborate with QA and engineering teams regarding environment design and scalability decisions.

• Take part in deployment retrospectives and enhance the release process.

• Recognize repetitive manual tasks and implement automation solutions.

• Support infrastructure-as-code initiatives.

• Work alongside DevOps on modernization and containerization infrastructure adjustments.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of practical experience as a systems administrator or infrastructure engineer.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

• Must be prepared to participate in a rotating on-call schedule, shared across the systems team.

• Proficient in Windows Server administration, including installation, configuration, patching, and troubleshooting.

• Practical experience with Azure, including VM management, Azure Monitor, storage, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including kubectl, workload oversight, and cluster observability.

• Basic understanding of Active Directory, including user and group management, GPOs, DNS, and fundamental domain operations.

• Experience with administering IIS or comparable application server platforms, focusing on configuration, troubleshooting, and performance management.

• Knowledge of backup and recovery processes and tools.

• Experience in supporting production deployments, including pre-deployment environment validation and rollback readiness.

• Ability to analyze logs, trace issues across systems, and articulate findings clearly.

• Organized and detail-oriented, comfortable with crafting and maintaining runbooks and SOPs.

• Proficient in PowerShell or other scripting languages for automation and administrative tasks.

• Experience in an ITSM or ticketing environment such as ServiceNow, Jira, or similar platforms.

• Relevant Microsoft certifications such as AZ-900, AZ-104, or a Windows Server equivalent.

• Familiarity with EDI, supply chain platforms, or integration middleware.
