This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Participate in unit councils, professional governance, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Apply the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
• Involve patients and their families throughout the care continuum.
• Monitor patient conditions and modify care plans as necessary.
• Mobilize resources and collaborate with the care team to enhance care outcomes.
• Foster and advocate for a culture of safety.
• Assess patient, team, and unit outcomes, taking appropriate actions when required.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies in accordance with clinical protocols when necessary.
• Utilize effective communication, provide feedback, resolve conflicts, collaborate with the team, and delegate tasks efficiently.
• Engage in professional development, complete mandatory education, and maintain certifications.
• Exercise ethical decision-making in line with the ANA Code of Ethics.
• Delegate tasks appropriately to RNs, LPNs, and unlicensed assistive personnel.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Float to other units, departments, care areas, or facilities within the designated service area as needed.
• Provide age-appropriate care based on assessments and departmental policies.
• Must reside within 50 miles of the call center at 11304 Hawthorne Dr, Mint Hill, NC.
• BSN and a minimum of 5 years of RN experience are required.
• Graduate from a nursing education program approved by the Board of Nursing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is necessary.
• Hold an active, unrestricted registered nurse (RN) multi-state compact and/or single-state license with practice privileges in the state(s) where client nursing services are provided.
• Typically requires at least 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• Possess strong clinical judgment and critical thinking abilities.
• Demonstrate time management, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Proficient in computer operations, including email, electronic records, and digital platforms.
• Capacity to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently.
• Ability to lift and support 35 pounds.
• Capability to push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with assistance from another person.
• Functional skills in speech, vision, hearing, touch, and fine hand manipulation.
• Ability to maneuver foot pedals.
• Capable of performing physical safety interventions and verbal de-escalation.
• Ability to respond promptly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.
• Physical Abilities Testing may be required.
