This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Efficiently process release of information (ROI) requests from facilities with accuracy and timeliness.
• Verify requests and authorizations for medical record releases in accordance with company policies and legal regulations.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and appropriate billing of released records.
• Keep equipment in optimal working condition.
• Provide exceptional customer service and effectively address client concerns.
• Stay informed about relevant state laws and fee structures.
• Take on additional assignments or cover accounts during periods of backlog.
• Adhere to client site policies, HIPAA regulations, state and federal laws, as well as labor laws.
• Manage confidential information while ensuring the efficient and accurate release of records.
• Act as a subject matter expert, trainer, and escalation point for issues.
• Facilitate onboarding and training for new hires.
• Handle escalations and resolve customer service challenges.
• Maintain regular communication with supervisors and managers regarding quality, client issues, and system matters.
• Assist in managing queues and delegating work assignments.
• Generate reports and metrics as needed.
• Monitor quality, productivity, utilization, employee performance, and adherence to customer service level agreements (SLAs).
• High school diploma or GED is a mandatory requirement.
• At least 3 years of ROI fulfillment experience with Sharecare HDS or 4 years of external ROI experience is essential.
• In-depth knowledge of various EMR platforms and types of ROI requests.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong skills in documentation, communication, and customer service.
• Proven ability to effectively manage time and meet deadlines.
• Eagerness to quickly learn new programs and processes.
• Self-motivated, reliable, and capable of working independently or collaboratively as part of a team.
• Consistent ability to maintain productivity, utilization, and quality performance standards.
• Exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Strong capabilities in documentation, communication, and organizational tasks.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities.
• Ability to assist in onboarding and training of new staff members.
• Capability to monitor employee productivity, utilization, and quality.
• Ability to ensure compliance with customer SLAs, including turnaround time (TAT).
• Capacity to sit or stand for long durations.
• Physical ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
• Manual dexterity adequate for extended periods of typing, writing, and document handling.
• Visual acuity required to read documents and operate a computer monitor.
• Clear speaking and hearing abilities for effective communication.
• Sufficient hand-eye coordination and sensory skills for job-related tasks.
• Understand the organization's information governance program and the responsibilities of the role.
• Participate in mandatory education and compliance training.
• Maintain current HIPAA certification on an annual basis.
• Adhere to HIPAA standards and relevant corporate integrity and security requirements.
