This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Facilitate discovery and requirement gathering across various brands, distributors, and retailers.
• Extract, document, and confirm BWS business requirements, use cases, acceptance criteria, data necessities, and compliance conditions.
• Serve as the definitive source for scope and modifications.
• Create project scope documents, user stories, process maps, and data flows related to territories, state pricing, tax and excise, allocations, and unit-of-measure workflows.
• Provide technical guidance from definition through execution for the proprietary BWS commerce platform.
• Aid in integrations, content models, and operational transitions.
• Oversee project timelines, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder expectations.
• Configure the platform according to BWS requirements and assist with setup and testing.
• Develop thorough QA and UAT plans customized for BWS scenarios.
• Maintain a solid understanding of B2B procurement processes and relevant analytics.
• Utilize data to suggest improvements for conversion rates, compliance pass rates, and operational effectiveness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create BWS roadmaps that align with brand and distributor strategies, portfolio priorities, and market growth.
• Provide technical solutions to clients for their eCommerce platforms.
• Carry out additional tasks as assigned.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable leading discovery sessions with stakeholders from brands, distributors, retailers, legal, and compliance.
• Demonstrated client-facing experience in the beer, wine, and spirits industry.
• General understanding of eCommerce and back-office integration, including APIs, data transfer methods, SSO, and procurement connectivity.
• Familiarity with EDI concepts is advantageous.
• Ability to balance long-term planning with daily execution and change management.
• Data-driven mindset utilizing analytics and best practices to guide decisions and assess results.
• Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
• Capacity to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively.
• Proven ability to perform well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Flexible team player willing to work overtime when necessary.
• Bachelor's degree in communications, business, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
• Over 2 years of experience in eCommerce, product operations, or project management with direct experience in beer, wine, and spirits.
• Experience with the three-tier distribution system and BWS compliance is highly preferred.
• Background working with BWS data and systems is a plus, including distributor ERPs, inventory and price books by territory, age verification services, OMS, PIM, or DAM.
