Web Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Maintain the stability, performance, and reliability of backend services for applications through production support, ongoing maintenance, and continuous improvement utilizing Java and associated frameworks.

• Analyze and resolve intricate production challenges that affect customers.

• Debug and address backend issues across Java services, APIs, and databases.

• Provide high-quality solutions through maintenance and patch releases.

• Work collaboratively with customer support to triage, reproduce, and resolve escalated tickets.

• Enhance application observability through effective logging, monitoring, and metrics.

• Minimize technical debt while enhancing system stability and performance.

• Review code and provide mentorship to less-experienced engineers.

• Enhance tooling, documentation, and operational workflows.

• Collaborate with Customer Support, Product, and Engineering teams to perform root cause analysis and improve the customer experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• A minimum of 2-5 years of professional experience in software development.

• Strong expertise in Java and related frameworks, specifically Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.

• Comprehensive understanding of RESTful API principles.

• Familiarity with AWS services including Lambda, EC2, S3, DynamoDB, and RDS.

• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and AWS Code Pipeline.

• Strong grasp of database design principles and SQL/NoSQL technologies.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.

• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies and tools, including those from the Atlassian suite.

• Candidates must be available to work from Dallas, TX, Indianapolis, IN, Kansas City, MO, or Memphis, TN.
