Principal Frontend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Establish and lead the frontend architecture strategy throughout product domains and platform investments.

• Oversee the design of scalable and high-performance systems utilizing Angular and React.

• Address intricate technical challenges across teams concerning performance, state management, scalability, and developer efficiency.

• Collaborate with backend and integration teams to define the end-to-end architecture for significant features and systems.

• Elevate standards for quality, testing, maintainability, and engineering excellence within the frontend organization.

• Provide technical guidance on high-impact initiatives and assist teams in navigating ambiguous or challenging issues.

• Steer teams towards practical decisions that promote both speed and long-term product excellence.

• Mentor senior and staff engineers while shaping the culture and standards of frontend engineering.

• Affect roadmap and organizational choices through technical insight and product collaboration.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in frontend engineering, with a strong focus on large-scale web applications.

• Expertise in Angular, React, TypeScript, RxJS, and NgRx or equivalent state management frameworks.

• Demonstrated experience in architecting complex frontend systems utilized by substantial user bases.

• Profound knowledge in performance enhancement, frontend scalability, maintainable application design, and reusable component architecture.

• Experience in driving technical strategies across various teams or product sectors.

• Strong ability to balance speed, quality, and long-term architecture in dynamic environments.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of influencing various functions and organizational levels.

• A solid background in mentoring with a passion for developing high-performing engineering teams.

• Experience with testing frameworks and the capability to establish testing strategies for substantial feature alterations.

• Familiarity with AI, including the daily application of AI technologies.

• Must hold legal authorization to work in the country of residence.
