This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.
• Design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance frontend applications utilizing React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Ensure compatibility across various browsers, responsiveness, UI/UX architecture, and adherence to WCAG accessibility standards.
• Architect modular, component-based user interface solutions featuring reusable design systems and patterns.
• Implement state management, application lifecycle, modularization, dependency management, and integration with backend APIs or microservices.
• Develop and maintain frontend build and deployment pipelines utilizing Webpack, Vite, and npm/yarn.
• Implement CI/CD processes using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions and automate testing with Jest, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Create custom business applications employing Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
• Develop user-facing solutions utilizing AI Builder and Azure services.
• Design and build custom PCF controls for PowerApps applications.
• Apply frontend security best practices, secure authentication measures, regulatory compliance, and Azure Entra ID identity management.
• Establish and enforce architectural principles, coding standards, design-system governance, technology guardrails, and review processes.
• Lead architecture reviews, document decisions with Architecture Decision Records, manage technical debt and exceptions, while ensuring standards alignment.
• Monitor and optimize Core Web Vitals, bundle size, lazy loading, and rendering efficiency using Lighthouse, Azure Monitor, and Application Insights.
• Collaborate with global teams, stakeholders, designers, and project managers to align architectural strategies, define requirements, and plan deliverables.
• Maintain technical documentation, UI style guides, and flowcharts.
• Train and mentor junior frontend developers.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, build proofs of concept, resolve production issues, and conduct performance reviews.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in frontend architecture and application development using React, Angular, or Vue.js, along with Microsoft Power Platform.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in building enterprise-grade UI components, including PCF controls and Azure-integrated frontend solutions.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3/SASS.
• Proven experience in designing and consuming REST/GraphQL APIs.
• Experience with Webpack, Vite, npm/yarn, and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards.
• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), frontend security best practices, system integration, and GDPR/HIPAA compliance.
• Experience with API Management, Azure CDN, Azure Storage, or similar Azure services.
• Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design, microservices, event-driven architecture, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Experience in defining and applying architecture governance, technical standards, design and code review gates, decision records, exception management, risk controls, and technical-debt oversight.
• Strong skills in state management, component reusability, design systems, and performance optimization.
• Ability to drive CI/CD adoption, automation, and cloud-native frontend development initiatives.
• Capacity to evaluate emerging technologies, build proofs of concept, and resolve complex production issues.
• Experience in conducting system assessments and performance reviews.
• Ability to ensure security, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to collaborate with project managers on scope, timelines, deliverables, planning, and estimation.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Experience with micro-frontend architectures and Module Federation is preferred.
• Proficiency in Figma or Adobe XD is preferred.
• Experience with Azure App Services, Functions, and Azure CDN is preferred.
• Experience in global cross-functional teams and mentoring software developers is preferred.
