This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and manage ServiceNow Service Portal pages and widgets tailored for various user types and roles.

• Utilize Service Portal Designer, Page Editor, Widget Editor, and implement portal theming.

• Conduct thorough assessments of portal user experience (UX).

• Create management plans, documentation, and design artifacts for site and portal development along with ongoing enhancements.

• Ensure compliance with Section 508 and WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards on both new and updated pages and widgets.

• Implement the NSF Tech Accelerators brand and style guidelines.

• Work with content owners to guarantee that published materials adhere to copyright and release standards.

• Collaborate with the NSF TIP program team and communications staff for stakeholder engagement.

• Convert engagement strategies, personas, and editorial calendars into portal features and page content.

• Provide support for the U.S. National Science Foundation Tech Accelerators initiative through a ServiceNow-based portal aimed at researchers, innovators, investors, federal partners, and the general public.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, or a related discipline, accompanied by 4 years of relevant web development experience; or 7 years of relevant web development experience in lieu of a degree.

• Proficient in ServiceNow Service Portal development, encompassing HTML templates, client scripts, CSS/SCSS widgets, Service Portal Designer page layout, and portal theming utilizing SCSS and Bootstrap 3.

• Strong expertise in responsive front-end development utilizing HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap 3.

• Proven experience in UI/navigation UX design, covering information architecture, menus, and user flows.

• Practical knowledge in implementing Section 508 and WCAG 2.2 standards, including keyboard accessibility, ARIA, and focus management.

• Capability to obtain and sustain necessary federal suitability/background investigation and system access credentials.

• Must possess authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

• Candidates may work remotely from anywhere within the United States and should be available for virtual collaboration during standard business hours.

• A portfolio website showcasing links to web design and development projects is required.

• Previous experience with federal agencies or government digital platforms is advantageous.

• Familiarity with AngularJS is beneficial.

• ServiceNow CSA and/or CAD certification is preferred.

• Experience with ServiceNow Now Experience UI Builder and modern ServiceNow UX frameworks is highly desired.

• Background in supporting stakeholder engagement or outreach-focused digital platforms is desired.

• Knowledge of SEO, web analytics, and usability/performance testing is preferred.

• Experience in implementing brand guidelines, style guides, and design systems is sought after.

• Proficiency in SQL, Power BI, or ServiceNow Performance Analytics is preferred.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform tools or other similar low-code tools is a plus.
