Front End Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain high-quality, scalable, and reusable front-end components for the ION MXDR platform

• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure technical feasibility while crafting seamless user experiences

• Partner closely with back-end developers to integrate APIs and guarantee end-to-end functionality

• Enhance applications for speed, scalability, and responsiveness

• Maintain and upgrade front-end build systems, tooling, and deployment pipelines

• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and resolve browser-specific performance challenges

• Stay updated with front-end technologies, frameworks, and industry trends

• Participate in code reviews, testing, and quality assurance processes to ensure robust and secure code

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional front-end development experience

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience

• Expertise in modern front-end frameworks like React.js, Angular, or Vue.js (React.js preferred)

• Strong command of HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript, and JavaScript

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and their integration into front-end applications

• Proficiency in front-end tools such as Babel, Vite, and Next.js

• Experience with version control systems (Git)

• Skilled in automated unit tests

• Knowledge of responsive and adaptive design principles

• Experience with Microsoft security tools and platforms like Microsoft Sentinel and Defender is an advantage

• Preferred experience with C#

• Preferred experience with Azure

• Background in cybersecurity or SaaS environments is a plus

• Familiarity with data visualization libraries such as Highcharts, D3.js, Chart.js, and ReactFlow is preferred

• Understanding of secure coding practices and OWASP guidelines is preferred
