Vulnerability & Red Team Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the enterprise vulnerability scanning, prioritization, and remediation-validation program.

• Monitor known exploited vulnerabilities in accordance with relevant federal regulations and manage remediation timelines.

• Plan and carry out penetration testing engagements following established Rules of Engagement, which include scoping and reporting.

• Facilitate red and purple team exercises to assess the effectiveness of detection and response strategies.

• Confirm and retest remediation actions that have been completed.

• Create and uphold policies, procedures, and reporting metrics for vulnerability management.

• Offer technical leadership and guidance to vulnerability analysts and penetration testers.

• Update leadership on vulnerability trends, risk exposure, and findings from offensive-security assessments.

• Collaborate with SOC and threat intelligence teams to convert offensive findings into defensive strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in penetration testing and/or vulnerability management.

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline (equivalent experience will be considered).

• Extensive technical expertise in exploitation techniques, vulnerability scanning tools, and remediation validation practices.

• Proven experience in leading or mentoring a technical team.

• Possession of OSCP, OSCE, or GIAC Exploit Researcher and Advanced Penetration Tester (GXPN) certification is mandatory.

• CISSP or GPEN certification is preferred.

• Secret clearance is required.

• Must have work authorization in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
