This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop a compelling business case for Gigawatt that matches the strength of its technology.
• Collaborate with Strategic Account Executives to assist utility leaders in understanding value, creating tailored solutions, and quantifying financial and operational results.
• Lead workshops focused on utility-specific discovery and value identification.
• Convert customer priorities into customized solution narratives.
• Construct ROI, TCO, payback, CapEx, and OpEx models utilizing customer data, benchmarks, assumptions, and sensitivity scenarios.
• Generate executive investment cases, presentations, and decision-making materials.
• Link investment rationales to utility budgeting, rate cases, capital planning, cost recovery, regulatory commitments, reliability, affordability, and customer outcomes.
• Facilitate collaborative working sessions with executives, operators, and subject-matter experts.
• Assist in demonstrations, proposals, RFIs, RFPs, business-case evaluations, executive meetings, and commercial negotiations until completion.
• Anticipate potential objections and provide champions with supporting evidence for internal advocacy.
• Establish metrics for measuring the promised value post-deployment on key accounts.
• Develop reusable benchmarks, value hypotheses, discovery tools, calculators, case studies, and module-specific value frameworks.
• Provide market insights to Product and GTM teams to enhance positioning and roadmap strategies.
• Report to GTM leadership and collaborate with various Gigawatt teams.
• 10+ years of experience in utility strategy, operations, transformation, solution consulting, value engineering, business-value consulting, or enterprise technology advisory.
• Profound knowledge of electric, gas, or water utilities, encompassing utility investment planning, core operations, technology decisions, and value demonstration.
• Ability to translate operational challenges and technology/software capabilities into measurable financial and business outcomes.
• Experience in shaping complex solutions and collaborating across sales, product, engineering, services, and customer-success teams.
• Technical curiosity and capability to gain fluency in an AI-native, data-intensive platform, its integrations, and enterprise architecture.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to develop methods, tools, and repeatable practices while remaining actively involved in an early-stage environment.
• Strong executive presence along with excellent written, presentation, and storytelling abilities, including the capacity to present investment cases to C-suite audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience; an advanced degree in business, finance, engineering, economics, or a related field is advantageous.
• Preferred: direct experience in enterprise software, solution consulting, value engineering, or technology advisory for utility customers.
• Preferred: experience in developing ROI, TCO, CapEx/OpEx, business-case, or investment models.
• Preferred: familiarity with utility regulatory processes, rate cases, capital planning, cost recovery, and/or grid modernization initiatives.
• Preferred: experience in supporting complex enterprise sales efforts, including executive workshops, RFPs/RFIs, proposals, or commercial negotiations.
