This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Collaborate with the Segment Leader to design leadership meeting agendas and business reviews focusing on key priorities.
• Oversee the annual business planning process and strategy implementation.
• Direct Policy Deployment, aligning long-term strategies with breakthrough priorities and actionable plans.
• Recognize performance gaps and obstacles to execution, utilizing VES approaches to tackle root causes.
• Assist in acquisition integration through VES implementation and capability enhancement.
• Propel growth, innovation, and operational efficiency through targeted improvement initiatives.
• Enhance daily management, standard work, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Utilize business and operational performance evaluations to identify gaps and evaluate progress.
• Lead impactful kaizen activities and strategic growth initiatives, including Growth Rooms and Obeya.
• Identify, adapt, and disseminate successful practices across operating companies.
• Mentor senior leaders and bolster their proficiency in applying VES to business challenges.
• Define and implement the VES capability and certification roadmap.
• Lead and nurture the VES organization while mentoring operating company VES leaders.
• Ensure certified practitioners and trainers contribute to business outcomes.
• Establish a VES leadership community across various businesses and regions.
• Oversee the budget and talent priorities for the VES function.
• At least 10 years of experience in leading and applying continuous improvement principles across growth, innovation, and lean, with a proven history of sustained business results.
• Senior leadership experience in a multinational corporation, acquired as an enterprise business system leader or operating company executive with considerable responsibility for continuous improvement and business performance.
• Extensive practitioner knowledge of lean/continuous improvement principles or a similar enterprise business system, encompassing daily management, standard work, structured problem-solving, and kaizen.
• Proven experience in leading Policy Deployment workshops, executive or President-level kaizens, and developing certified practitioner roadmaps aligned with strategic business objectives.
• Demonstrated experience working directly with teams at Gemba to enhance problem-solving, build capabilities, and maintain improvements through practical learning.
• Substantial hands-on experience in new product development and applying continuous improvement methods to innovation processes.
• A successful track record in team building and development, coaching senior leaders, and enhancing organizational capabilities across functions and regions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Business, Marketing, or Operations is required.
• A Master’s degree in a related field or an MBA is preferred.
