VP – Senior Trust Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Hampshire, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Cultivate and enhance personalized, professional relationships with CTC clients and financial advisors.

• Manage trust accounts in accordance with trust documents and relevant state and federal regulations, which includes overseeing distributions, conducting annual reviews, and ensuring comprehensive trust oversight.

• Evaluate and support new business development efforts, collect account information, request asset due diligence, assess authorized parties, and recommend account acceptance.

• Engage in meetings with new clients and financial advisors throughout the new business acquisition process.

• Facilitate the onboarding of new accounts by building relationships, conducting initial account assessments, and preparing proposals.

• Collaborate with the CTC new business development team on individual cases as well as broader product strategies.

• Provide exceptional client experiences in partnership with client advisory, trust administration, new business, operations, and compliance teams.

• Supervise tax accounting functions related to individual and fiduciary tax planning and the preparation of tax returns.

• Contribute to the development and launch of new products and platforms, including a Directed Trust option.

• Mentor and educate fellow trust officers within CTC.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or CTFA designation.

• At least 10 years of relevant experience in trust administration.

• Proven expertise serving as a trust officer with a thorough understanding of applicable trust administration rules and regulations.

• Familiarity with applicable trust administrative policies and procedures.

• Strong organizational, detail-oriented, and analytical skills.

• Effective problem-solving and decision-making capabilities while working both independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Excellent communication skills for educating others about trusteeship and the Directed Trust model.

• Knowledge of positive and negative attributes of trusts and the corresponding responsibilities of trustees.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications: Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, and Access.

• Experience with trust reporting software such as SEI SWP, SAP Business Objects, and other trust accounting systems and trading platforms.

• Outstanding customer service skills.

• Ability to identify and proactively address problematic relationships between trustees and beneficiaries.

• Willingness to travel up to 5% of the time.
