VP, Security Technology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the CISO to create and implement the enterprise security strategy, roadmap, operating model, and investment priorities.

• Oversee security architecture and engineering, employee identity and access management, cloud security, cyber threat and exposure management, offensive security, AI security, and associated transformation efforts.

• Enhance and mature employee identity and access management capabilities by employing modern identity practices and zero trust principles.

• Transform vulnerability management into a continuous threat and exposure management initiative.

• Evaluate, rationalize, and optimize the security technology stack.

• Convert strategic goals into actionable programs, operational plans, KPIs, KRIs, and security outcomes.

• Provide executive leadership during significant security incidents and assist in preparedness, tabletop exercises, continuity integration, and recovery planning.

• Collaborate with technology, operations, legal, compliance, privacy, risk, product, and business leadership to integrate security into enterprise priorities and growth strategies.

• Build, lead, and nurture a high-performing organization, including succession planning, talent development, budget management, and hiring decisions.

• Present security strategy, risks, metrics, and investment proposals to executive leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

• 15+ years of progressive experience in security and information technology.

• 10+ years of experience leading large-scale technology teams and enterprise-wide programs.

• Proven track record in leading enterprise security functions across various technical domains within a complex, regulated environment.

• Extensive expertise in security architecture and engineering, identity and access management, cloud security, vulnerability or exposure management, and security transformation.

• Experience in modernizing security capabilities while accommodating rapid business changes, integrations, acquisitions, joint ventures, or new ventures.

• Executive presence with the ability to influence senior leaders in technology, business, risk, and compliance.

• Experience managing budgets, establishing investment priorities, making hiring decisions, and developing senior security talent.

• Capability to lead through uncertainty, organizational changes, and high-pressure security incidents.

• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CRISC, or similar are preferred.

• Experience in financial services, large-scale healthcare, or technology-enabled services is preferred.

• Occasional travel may be necessary for leadership meetings and business requirements.
